About GEFFE

The Grove Education Foundation for Excellence (GEFFE) was established in the fall of 1997 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to help advance educational excellence in Grove, Oklahoma. In a few short months, GEFFE was established as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, adopted bylaws, organized a charter board, and held its first annual fund-raising banquet. With the proceeds raised from the first banquet in 1998, GEFFE awarded its first two grant cycles and the benefits of GEFFE had begun.

GEFFE continues to hold one major fund-raiser, the GEFFE GALA each spring. With hard work from its board and the generosity of the community of Grove, GEFFE has awarded over $205,000 in grants to teachers and established an endowment fund that will some day provide the funding of grants to Grove teachers far into the future.

GEFFE's mission is “To Promote and Encourage Academic Excellence in Grove.” By removing some of the monetary confinements of creativity in the classroom, GEFFE has helped teachers with dreams and ideas for enhancing education in their classrooms to reach those dreams. With the continued support of donors, GEFFE will continue to strive to make education in Grove, Oklahoma second to none.
