Plans are now underway for GEFFE’s 10th annual banquet and fundraiser set for April 5, 2008, at the Royal Bay Yacht club. Once again this year, the Grove High School Jazz Band will entertain attendees.

Two tickets to Tulsa’s Celine Dion concert this fall at the new BOK Center and dinner at Charleston’s is only one of the many packages that will be up for auction at the event. The package, generously donated by Good to Go with Patti Beth and Grand Escapes Travel, also includes transportation to and from the concert by motorcoach.

A guitar signed by country artists Brooks and Dunn was donated by Dave and Beverly Helms and will also go to the highest bidder. Floral Expressions has donated a bouquet of flowers each month for a year, while Java Dave’s is donating an assortment of chocolate each month for a year. GEFFE board members are continuing to collect wonderful live and silent auction items from generous donors throughout Grove.

“Our annual fundraiser has always been so successful because of the generosity of our local businesses and their wonderful donations for our auctions,” Wallace said.

Corporate tables are going fast and can be purchased for $575 for a table of eight. Single tickets are $75 each. For more information on purchasing tickets please contact Kristi Wallace at 918.787.3855.

Money raised at the banquet is given back to the Grove School District in the form of grants to the school. Teachers and principals submit grants to GEFFE requesting for various educational projects. During the past ten years, GEFFE has awarded over $320,000 in grants to the school district.

“This community has been so supportive of GEFFE over the past ten years,” Wallace said. “And as a result of that support, GEFFE has been able to fund numerous educational projects which have benefited the students of Grove.”
